Everyone on our team shares a common interest.
From our service technicians to our advisors and everyone in between, we all share a passion for automobiles.
They say that when you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life… we believe that’s true!
Although our team shares many similarities, we’re also all very different.
From our automotive backgrounds and experience to our personal preferences in favourite vehicle brands… we cover just about the entire automotive spectrum.
That diversity plays a key role in what makes our company unique.
So what does that mean? Whether you want to come in and talk shop about imports, lifted trucks, exotics, classic cars, or just about anything else automotive related, we’re the team to chat with.
Welcome to August Garage, setting a new standard for automotive repair, maintenance, and modification.
Introducing our Head Technician, Brett Rocha.
Brett was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Before moving to the beautiful Okanagan he owned and operated a family automotive repair center which was one of the first independent repair facilities in Winnipeg specializing in European vehicles.
Being a 3rd generation mechanic, the in-shop training was always focused on such brands as Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini etc.
He still remembers spending his time as a kid helping out around the shop.
With 24 years of experience in the trade, Brett’s Red Seal Journeyman certificate was followed up by several training programs which he traveled all through North America for.
Bringing excitement to the trade and helping train apprentices has also been a priority for Brett.
He has also served as chairman for the Provincial Automotive Trade Committee and helped develop the curriculum for the automotive trade.
Enjoying an outdoor lifestyle is why Brett and his wife Melissa sold the house, left all they knew and planted their roots here in the Okanagan with their two kids, Tyra and Austin.
They can often be found Hiking Crawford Falls, on their SUP boards or just ordering a pizza to Sarsons beach and watching the sun go down.
Tyra is a huge car enthusiast and they support local car shows as often as they can, often taking their 1972 Citroën SM or cruising slow and steady in their 1979 VW Westfalia.
“Our goal is to provide an unparalleled service experience for all makes and models.
Whether you are a longtime client, a first-time purchaser, or someone who has a car they are passionate about maintaining well – we have some of BC’s best technicians who care about your vehicle.”
